Tural Ganjaliyev, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Community of the Nagorno Garabagh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan has commented on the information that family members of Dilgam Askerov and Shahbaz Guliyev will visit them, APA reports.

Tural Ganjaliyev stated Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has a concrete position regarding this.

According to Chairman of Community, persons who are kept in hostage and in captivity should be exchanged based on “all for all” principle.

“This is the fundamental principle of international humanitarian law. As for the meeting of Azerbaijani hostages with their family members in the future, our main desire is for them to return to their families. Armenian troops, occupiers should release them. Dilgam and Shahbaz were arrested illegally for visiting their ancestral homes. Our main goal is to free them. Our government is taking all necessary measures in the direction of their release and we also raise this issue in meetings with international organizations and representatives of the diplomatic corps. We state that they are subjected to torture,” the Chairman stated.

Recall that in recent days, information has been circulated in the Armenian media about negotiations so that relatives will visit Dilgam Askerov and Shahbaz Guliyev. The information says that the negotiations are already close to finalization.

Note that during an operation in July 2014 in Azerbaijani Kalbajar district occupied by Armenia, the Armenian special forces killed an Azerbaijani Hasan Hasanov, and took hostage two other Azerbaijanis, Shahbaz Guliyev, and Dilgam Asgarov. Body of Hasan Hasanov was returned from the enemy side and buried in Baku. A "criminal case" was initiated against them. Afterward, a "court" sentenced Asgarov to life imprisonment and Guliyev to 22 years in prison
