The Republic of Azerbaijan is committed to its obligations under the norms of international humanitarian law and the principles of humanism, the State Commission on Captives, Missing, and Hostages told APA.
According to Commission, unlike Armenia, Armenian servicemen and civilians evacuated from the war zone were immediately evacuated from the war zone in accordance with the requirements of the Geneva Conventions. Decent behavior, food, water supply and the rights of the wounded to treatment were fully guaranteed: "The Azerbaijani side regularly provided information on the captured Armenian servicemen to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Command of the peacekeeping forces of the Russian Federation."
