“There was a terrible attack on the civilian people in Khojaly. Khojaly tragedy is essentially genocide. This formula will never mitigate. Because it is impossible to give it another name,” Leonid Slutsky, Chairman of the Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation on International Affairs told APA’s Moscow correspondent.
He has noted that the Khojaly tragedy will remain in the memory of every person whose heart beats with Azerbaijan, as well as in the memory of future generations as a terrible historical moment: "Of course, today we celebrate the restoration of historical justice. Karabakh has returned its house. The painful revival of this land, which has been in sorrow for a long time, lies ahead. I am sure that Azerbaijan that once has won against poverty, placed its refugees and IDPs, and has turned into an energy giant, will also manage this task successfully. Karabakh will be one of the most flourishing areas, information technologies will be applied here, living of people in peace and comfort will be provided. People will come here to live and relax. Because Karabakh is a land that has fruitful nature”.
