“The cases of ceasefire violation have decreased, but tension still remains. In order to prevent escalation from now on, we are taking concrete steps as a member-country of the OSCE Minsk Group. We are doing work both as co-chair and as a separate country”, said the official representative of Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova at the briefing held by her today, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
"Last week, the situation in the conflict zone was considered at the meeting of the Minsk Group and later at the meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council with participation of all member countries of the organization. The co-chairs are in permanent contact with the parties. The consultations regarding the situation will be held at the UN General Secretariat", the Russian MFA’s official said in response to the question “How do you evaluate the initiative of holding of a summit of the OSCE Minsk Group with a large number of participants involving all member countries”.
