Minister of Energy, Co-Chair of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Italian Republic Parviz Shahbazov met with Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic, Co-Chair of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy Manlio Di Stefano in a video conference, the Energy Ministry told APA-Economics.
The sides discussed issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy, including cooperation with Italian companies in the restoration of the liberated territories.
According to the report, the Italian co-chair expressed satisfaction with his recent visit to Baku and meetings with President Ilham Aliyev and other officials, noting that fruitful talks were held between the two countries to develop political, economic, and energy cooperation.
It was noted at the meeting that cooperation with companies from friendly countries in the restoration of the liberated territories was especially encouraged. In this regard, they discussed with Italian companies the restoration of energy infrastructure, urban planning, demining, restoration of historical monuments, tourism and agricultural projects.
