“Every year we declare cultural capital of Turkic World. We propose Shusha to be declared such capital in 2022 and holding many cultural events,” said Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States Baghdad Amreyev, who was received by President Ilham Aliyev in a video format today, APA reports.
B. Amreyev said that these events will emphasize the great cultural significance of Shusha for the entire Turkic and Islamic world: “We discussed this issue with Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov yesterday. If you allow we will start this work, we will hold about 20 cultural events in Shusha in 2022. We are sure that Shusha will be restored by that time, regain its former appearance. We have always stood by you and will stand by.”
