Foreign diplomats witnessed environmental terror committed by Armenia in Gubadli - PHOTO

Within the framework of the visit to the liberated territories from the occupation, the representatives of diplomatic corps in Azerbaijan witnessed the environmental terror committed by Armenia in Gazyan village of Gubadli, APA’s correspondent reports.

Moreover, the diplomats have been informed about environmental terror committed by Armenia.

According to Monitoring group of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, during about past 30 years, Armenia committed environmental terror in the occupied territories destroyed rare trees that are hundreds of years old.

“82 mulberry trees of different ages, mainly 50-60 years old, 70-80 cm in diameter were destroyed in the area of about one hectare. Mulberry trees were destroyed along Hakari river, mulberry orchards were destroyed. Up to 500 mulberry trees were destroyed in some villages. 1,500-year-old precious trees Eastern plane tree, Greek walnut, Araz oak rare trees were cut down. The trees were burnt and cut down in the territory of 107-hectare Basitchay State Reserve.

Thousand-year-old trees were looted and burned in the Basitchay State Reserve.

Underground minerals in 168 places have been exploited and looted for many years.
