The German government has allocated two million euros for the activity of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Nagorno-Karabakh region till late 2020, this is stated in the statement released on Wednesday by the Federal Government Commissioner for Human Rights Berbel Kofler, APA reports citing TASS.
"I welcome the fact that after six weeks of fierce fighting on November 9, a ceasefire agreement was reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan. I am grateful for the tireless involvement and work of the ICRC, to which the [FRG] government has allocated 2 million euros. Delivering aid urgently requires the ICRC and other humanitarian organizations to have unhindered access to people," he said.
