Head of the Azerbaijani community of the Nagorno-Karabakh: Justice is on our side and, unlike the Armenians, we are ready for peace

Despite all the suffering and loss, we resolutely uphold our position and always called for living in peace, Head of the Azerbaijani community of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan Tural Ganjaliyev said, APA reports.
He noted that Armenia and the puppet regime that created in Nagorno-Karabakh do not withdraw their troops from Azerbaijani lands and avoid peaceful dialogue: "This shows that they are not interested in peace."
According to Mr Ganjaliyev, Armenia and its puppet regime in Nagorno-Karabakh continues their aggression for about 30 years: "We receive messages from Armenians living in the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. They note that they are tired of this enmity and the Armenian occupation. The situation is tense, in connection with the presence of the Armenian army in Nagorno-Karabakh, the conflict cannot be resolved. Without the settlement of this conflict, there will be no peace and prosperity in the region. Nagorno-Karabakh has been an integral part of Azerbaijan and will always be so. As long as we are unable to resolve the conflict, its negative impact will extend to the entire region. In addition, the Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh live there without faith in the future, they do not know what will happen next. And most importantly, we rely on international law, resolutions, and statements of the UN Security Council, OSCE, and the Council of Europe. We are supporters of a peaceful resolution to the conflict, but how long will we demonstrate patience ?! This is the main thing. As time goes by, we must put an end to the occupation."
The community chairman noted that sane people on the opposite side understand this situation.
Touching upon the “inauguration” to be held today in Nagorno-Karabakh, T. Ganjaliyev emphasized that the international community condemned these “elections”: "This is a provocation and a blow to the negotiation process. It is also a provocation against the government and the people of Azerbaijan. Instead of steps that can contribute to the peace process, we are witnessing provocation. This once again shows that the Armenian side is not interested in peace talks. Armenia wants to preserve the status quo by any means and continue the occupation."
The community leader also noted that Armenia doesn’t care how the population of Nagorno-Karabakh lives: "Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, they held these "elections" and after the "elections" there was an increase in the number of infected people."
Mr Ganjaliyev emphasized that some politicians believe in Armenian propaganda: “Our existence is the best answer to their propaganda. Now we are stronger than ever. We must convince the international community that all this propaganda is aimed at justifying the Armenian occupation. Justice is on our side, we will return to our lands, and, unlike the Armenians, we are ready for peace.
Azerbaijan is the strongest country in the region, both politically and militarily. But Azerbaijan has always shown a constructive approach. We believe that the best tool is the pressure of the international community on Armenia. We will return to our lands, and this is our right. There will be no peace without the return of Azerbaijanis to their lands, without the restoration of internationally recognized borders of our country.”
