Work continues on the implementation of the joint statement signed by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on November 10, Aide to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev said at a briefing held today, APA reports.
Hajiyev said that according to the statement, the Armenian armed forces will be withdrawn from the Kalbajar region on November 15: "The presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia discussed yesterday. The Armenian side appealed to Azerbaijan through Russia. The Armenian side demanded that this period be extended until November 25. The weather is getting worse, there is only one road in that direction - the Vardenis road, and the capacity of the road is low. Azerbaijan has agreed to evacuate the civilian population in Kalbajar by November 25. The obligations remain in force, no special statement has been signed on the extension."
Aide to the President of Azerbaijan noted that the withdrawal of Armenian forces from Agdam and Lachin by November 20 is planned.
