“There is the main principle which says no attack can be made on civilian residents. We transparently, clearly announced without any loss of time that the attack on civilian residents is unacceptable”, said spokesman of Iran’s MFA Said Khatibzade in response to the question of APA’s Tehran correspondent saying “Yesterday, Armenia inflicted rocket strikes on Ganja, Mingechevir cities and Absheron peninsula densely inhabited by Azerbaijan’s civil population, situated far from the combat region, where also the strategic civil facilities are located. Dozens of civilians have been wounded, there are mortal casualties. What is the stance of the official Tehran to this issue?”.
“We have told both countries and insistently announce that it is necessary to protect lives of civilians in this conflict. Also the civil institutions and sites should be protected. I think that everybody should help so that the fire of this conflict would be extinguished. Nobody should promote ignition of the war”, the spokesman of Iran’s MFA stressed.
