"Lithuania supports territorial integrity and sovereignty of member countries of GUAM”, said deputy Valeriyus Simulik, head of Lithuania-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group, APA reports.
“We are familiar with the situation very well. As you know I have worked in the position of chairman of Parliamentary Assembly of Baltic Council for some period. We know that member countries of GUAM have problems regarding territorial integrity, and we have adopted a declaration regarding this issue. We support territorial integrity and sovereignty of member countries of GUAM. We also know the originator of these problems. Lithuania recognizes the occupation of 20 percent of territory of Azerbaijan. A document supporting Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity has been adopted in the Lithuanian parliament as well. The Nagorno Garabagh problem should be solved. I hope that Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and the historical justice will be restored”, the Lithuanian deputy noted.
