Ombudsman appealed to international organizations in connection with Armenians’ treatment of military prisoners

Beginning from September 27, as a result of military aggression of Armenian armed forces on territory of Azerbaijan Republic, multiple human casualties occurred among civilian population, education and health institutions, social, cultural, historic, religion facilities were destroyed using heavy artillery devices and banned weapons, became victim of war crimes against peace and humanity, Ombudsman’s Administrative Office told APA.

Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) Sabina Aliyeva addressed appeal to UN, Europe Council, International Red Cross Committee and other authorized international and regional organizations.

It was stated in individually addressed appeals that Armenian armed forces seriously violating norms of international humanitarian law, including requirements Geneva conventions in regard to not only civilians but also other non-combatants, military servicemen who went out of line, military prisoners continued military crimes.
