Putin: Russian peacekeepers are guarantor of observance to agreement on cessation of military operations in Karabakh

Since November 10 Russian peacekeepers started to implement a complex mission in Nagorno Karabakh, said Russian President Vladimir Putin in his speech at Board Meeting of the Ministry of Defense, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.

According to him, deploying of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh was the guarantor of observance to the agreement on cessation of military operations: “Peacekeepers are doing many things in order to improve the humanitarian situation, assistance to refugees, clearing of territories from mines, restoration of social infrastructure, protection of historical-religious monuments. They risk their lives. Unfortunately, it does not happen without losses. They risk their lives for returning of peaceful life to these lands.”
