“Launching the Russian-Turkish Joint Center for Ceasefire Monitoring in Nagorno-Karabakh is a good example of joint efforts directed to normalize the situation in the region,” said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko in an interview with TASS while answering the question “Is Russia not afraid of strengthening Turkey's military presence in the South Caucasus?”, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
He noted that military cooperation with Ankara in the region was established within the framework of Russian-Turkish Joint Center for ceasefire monitoring in Nagorno-Karabakh started to operate in the Aghdam region since January 30: “We consider the opening of such a center as a good example of joint efforts directed to normalize the situation in the region.”
