Russian Deputy: “There is impression that nuclear weapon exploded in Aghdam”

“The only famous bakery in all the USSR was in Agdam, only these remains remain. We saw destroyed hospital, maternity hospital, culture house, theatre, it is terrible,” said the deputy of Russian State Duma, the head of Russia-Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group Dmitry Salayev, APA reports.

He noted that it is traces of hate: “I did not expect that I would see such awful footages. It deeply shocked me. During 30 years, occupiers stated that these lands are their territories. If they considered it their territory, why did they destroy everything? When you look at it, you get the impression that a nuclear weapon has exploded.

Destroyed graves…It is difficult to speak quietly about what we saw here. I am sure, years will pass, new, here will be new, modern city, residents who left when the occupiers occupied these lands will return. Children will born and grow up here, laughs of children will be heard in new streets.”
