Russian MFA: The situation in Nagorno-Karabakh to be one of the main topics of discussion at Lavrov-Zarif meeting

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will meet with his Iranian counterpart Javad Zarif, according to information disseminated by Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) before the meeting to be held on January 26, APA’s bureau in Moscow reports.
The topics of discussion of heads of MFAs of Russia and Iran have been revealed on the information.
According to MFA, the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, the situation around the Comprehensive Joint Action Plan on Iran's nuclear program, the settlement of Syria, the situation in Afghanistan, and the Persian Gulf will be the main topics of discussion at the Lavrov-Zarif meeting.
Moreover, the sides will exchange views on concrete steps to further develop bilateral relations between Russia and Iran.
"The gradual development of mutually beneficial cooperation, the consolidation of significant potentials of Russia and Iran not only has a positive impact on the position of both countries but also improves the situation in the South Caucasus, the Middle East and ensures peace and stability there," said Russian MFA.
