"Our position on the Nagorno Garabagh issue bases on principle of territorial integrity. It has always been so and will remain", said Leader of Georgian Opposition Party United National Movement, Deputy Salome Samadashvili in her interview to Ictimai Television, APA's Georgian bureau reports.
She noted that there is nothing new in the statement issued by the former President Mikheil Saakashvili last day and the principle of Georgia's territorial integrity is untouchable: "I wish peace to both neighboring countries. International diplomacy is very active and the confrontation will end in following days. Existence of peace and stability in the region is relevant to our interests. That is why I hope that they will end this very intensive situation peacefully. We should call on both sides to return to negotiations table. When it comes to Mikheil Saakashvili’s statement made yesterday, our attitude to Nagorno Garabag issue based on territorial integrity as it is in our occupied lands. It was so and will remain so. Therefore I do not see anything new in Saakashvili’s statement. Georgia’s position has always been so.”
