“I am in Azerbaijan today. I am grateful to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for it. Karabakh is Azerbaijan,” said Shahbaz Guliyev, who was held hostage by Armenians at today’s press conference of the State Commission on prisoners of war, hostages and missing persons, APA reports.

“We were taken hostages when we visited graves of our fathers-mothers. Dilgam Asgarov was held hostage after me. I also subjected to torture, which they subjected to. They did not allow us to sleep in the night, forced us to listen to sounds. Worker of their so-called “National Security Service” broke his stick on our backs almost every night. They did not believe that we went for visiting. They called us a terrorist, a diversant. They wanted to present us so until the last day. A doctor from International Committee of the Red Cross came in last days. The doctor said that a cast must be put on my hand, but they protested. The International Committee of the Red Cross saw the torture, which we subjected to. They did not allow us to write on the torture in letters. They imprisoned us in a camera in Shusha after a year. Patriotic War of 44 days shook the whole Armenia,” noted Sh. Guliyev.
