"Azerbaijan demonstrates its constant commitment to peaceful diplomatic efforts to resolve the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the basis of recognized norms and principles of international law, primarily the territorial integrity and inviolability of borders," speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova said this in her speech at the plenary session of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the press and public relations department of the Milli Majlis told APA.

Gafarova said that Azerbaijan has always demonstrated its commitment to peaceful diplomatic efforts to resolve the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the basis of recognized norms and principles of international law, first of all, the territorial integrity of states and inviolability of borders: "Unfortunately, all the efforts of the Azerbaijani side to resolve the problem peacefully are thwarted by the unconstructive policy of the Armenian government, which prefers various provocations and military rhetoric. For example, how can we assess the threats of strikes on Azerbaijani civilian objects? I want to say that Azerbaijan has never claimed someone else's land. The people of Azerbaijan will never allow the establishment of a second Armenian state in their historical lands."
