The UN leadership decided to send a comprehensive assessment mission to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at today’s briefing, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
According to her, in order to familiarize with the situation on the ground and assess the needs of those who need help, the mission will include representatives of specialized humanitarian agencies: "Currently, the preparation and coordination of the parameters of the assessment mission continue. As to our side, we believe that it is advisable to intensify humanitarian aid to the victims through specialized international organizations.”
