“Now not only OSCE Minsk group, but also other international organizations and structures are dealing with issues regarding the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh,” said an official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova at the briefing held today, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
According to her, the main point here is the functions of those organizations: "If we consider the scale of the trilateral statement of the Presidents of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, at the present stage, on the one hand, the process of the implementation of this statement takes place, on the other hand, the process continues to solve the issues within the powers of those international structures, bodies, and organizations. I think that the institutionalization and coordination of all these processes are very important. Now everyone is engaged in this. As you know, the problems that the region faced are huge. Those problems belong to different fields. These are humanitarian issues, refugees, security, and demining problems. Today, the Minsk Group, other international structures, mediating organizations, such as the International Committee of the Red Cross are engaged in those problems. ICRC may play its role in the full settlement of the situation.”
