Armenian occupation destroyed carpet weaving traditions in Shusha - VIDEO

"The Azerbaijani Community of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan" Public Union dedicated the next part of the company about the historical and cultural heritage and the propagandistic destruction of our occupied territories to the Karabakh carpets, ONAreports citing Public Union.

According to social media requirements video was prepeared in English language  about this issue.

In the video sent to the UN, the OSCE and the organizations of the Minski Group of this organization, including some of the European Union programs, to their official accounts, mailing addresses according to social media demands, attention was paid to carpet-weaving traditions existing in  Garabagh before. Noted that, carpets of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan has differed with their color and ornaments.

“Garabagh carpets have gained popularity in the Caucasus for this feature. There was written in the  famous Brockhaus Efron encyclopedia in 1904, that Shusha is famous in all Caucasus region as the center of carpet.

Carpeters of Shusha were awarded in 1867 in the famous Paris, and in 1872 in Moscow exhibitions.

The carpet woven in Shusha in the 18th century is among  one of the most valuable exhibits in the Art Museum of Boston still today. It again approves that, there were ancient traditions of carpet weaving in Karabakh” In the mentioned video was Information about the Carpet Museum in Shusha and its destruction by Armenians. “Shusha Carpet Museum built in shusha in 18th century, and located in the Samed Bey Mehmandarov's property was famous with its rich exhibits.Unfortunately, armenian occupation ended the traditions of carpet weaving, and resulted in the destruction and theft of some of these exhibits. Shusha Carpet Museum operates in Baku within the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum at the present moment.”

Note that previous videos addressed to international organizations by union have been  dedicated to Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Khurshidbanu Natavan, Bulbul's shooting monuments, ancient music and chess traditions in Garabagh.
