Armenian occupation destroyed carpet weaving traditions in Shusha - VIDEO

"The Azerbaijani Community of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan" Public Union dedicated the next part of the company about the historical and cultural heritage and the propagandistic destruction of our occupied territories to the Karabakh carpets, ONA reports citing Public Union.

Noted that, carpets of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan has differed with their color and ornaments.

“Garabagh carpets have gained popularity in the Caucasus for this feature. There was written in the famous Brockhaus Efron encyclopedia in 1904, that Shusha is famous in all Caucasus region as the center of carpet.

Carpeters of Shusha were awarded in 1867 in the famous Paris, and in 1872 in Moscow exhibitions.

The carpet woven in Shusha in the 18th century is among one of the most valuable exhibits in the Art Museum of Boston still today.
