Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno-Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan has issued a statement regarding “Independence Day” celebrations of the so-called criminal regime in occupied Azerbaijani territories, APA reports.
The statement reads:
“According to the information disseminated by Armenian mass media, Armenia held next provocative “events” under name of “Independence Day” of the so-called criminal regime in occupied Azerbaijani territories on September 2, 2019.
Celebration of the masquerade “independence day events” by the criminal junta once again affirms that Armenia and the criminal regime under it are not interested in the peaceful resolution of the conflict and don’t waste any opportunity to damage the negotiations. Azerbaijani Community of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan state that so-called “independence” gained as a result of ethnic cleansing policy and at the cost of bloodshed of hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis driven from Karabakh and occupied surrounding areas doesn’t promise any future."
It is stated in the statement that celebration of “independence day” by the so-called criminal junta in the shade of not recognition of results of occupation by the international organization and world community and denouncing Armenian occupation is the reflection of their deadlock situation. Using Armenian community of the Nagorno Karabakh region of Republic of Azerbaijan who suffer under the captivity of so-called regime as a tool, promotion of “independence” ideas by the criminal junta and its protector Armenia creates ridiculous situation. Armenia not only satisfied by delaying its political and economic development in the region and drive itself to the abyss but also deceived Armenian Community of the Nagorno Karabakh region of Azerbaijan and continues to use Armenian Community for their insidious policy.
The Armenian community has to release from the fake matrix and has to take a step with Azerbaijani community in order to establish fair and sustainable peace within the framework of internationally recognized borders of Azerbaijan which is the only way out.
World community properly witness fairly position of the leading country of the region, Azerbaijan, that shows constructive position in the negotiations process of the conflict so far and the steps taken by aggressor Armenia. Armenia and especially its criminal junta regime should evaluate the situation and make a conclusion and have to realize that they are responsible for their unintended steps. Any step of aggressor Armenia in order to “strengthen” the results of the occupation is contrary to Ab Initio international law and will not bear any fruit.
After the restoration of internationally recognized borders of Azerbaijan, and the return of hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis who were expelled from occupied Azerbaijani territories, it is possible to discuss the peaceful coexistence of two communities.
As an Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan, we appeal to Armenian community and invite them to get rid of the supervision of the illegal criminal regime soon, that they live under captivity and accept our call on coexistence of both communities in the justice and sustainable peace within the framework of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
