Azerbaijan’s policy played an important role in the fall of the junta regime in Armenia, said President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The head of state made the remarks at a ceremony held in Lokbatan settlement of Baku’s Garadagh district on Wednesday to give out apartments and cars to veterans of the Karabakh and Great wars, the Chernobyl disabled and families of martyrs, APA reports.

President Aliyev noted that the April battles struck the rotten pillars of the junta regime in Armenia, and the regime collapsed.

The Azerbaijani Army demonstrated its power during the four-day battle in April 2016, the head of state stressed.

“International and political organizations support Azerbaijan. There is a huge difference, gap between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the field of economy. The military parade in June this year demonstrated what everyone is capable of. We are using and will continue to use every opportunity. The Armenian leadership should know that they should voluntarily leave our lands,” he added.
