Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloglu – APA. “Such a statement made by a representative of an OSCE Minsk Group co-chair country is irrelevant. A similar statement had been made by the US secretary of state before. And that statement had drawn fair criticism from Azerbaijan,” Azerbaijani deputy PM Ali Ahmadov said of Russia's presidential aide Yuri Ushakov’s statement that Russia is not expecting a considerable advancement towards the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, APA reported.

“The change of the status-quo sometime in the near future would be a right step towards ensuring peace and stability in the whole region. If co-chairs of the Minsk Group, which is supposed to help settle the conflict, make such statements, it means they are incapable of fulfilling their obligations. Not much is being done by the Minsk Group. On top of that, statements like discredit their work. This is not a fair approach,” he said.
