Ilaha Huseynova, head of the Public Relations department of the ICRC Baku Office, told APA that after the press service of the State Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs had made a statement to media that one of the captured Azerbaijanis was a Russian citizen, the ICRC and the Russian embassy have contacted about this issue. The ICRC was informed of the family members’ message. The embassy is currently reviewing the letters.
The Armenian Armed Forces had taken captive Russian citizen Dilgam Asgarov and Azerbaijani citizen Shahbaz Guliyev in Kalbajar and killed the other Azerbaijani citizen Hasan Hasanov.
The latter was buried in Nagorno-Karabakh.
