Unfortunately, no serious progress has been achieved in negotiations on the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict over the past many years, Azerbaijani Prime Minister Artur Rasizade said during the presentation of the government’s report in the Parliament on Friday, APA reports.

Armenia continues to take a non-constructive position and tries to protract the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, he noted.

“The President of Azerbaijan pays special attention to this issue. At every international event the head of state calls for the settlement of the conflict within Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity. Under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Azerbaijan’s military power is growing day by day and the Azerbaijani army is equipped with modern weapons,” said the prime minister.

Rasizade added that Azerbaijan has increased defense expenditures by 13.5 times over the past period.
