“Security is of importance to the European Union. This issue is part of the European Union’s global strategy,” APA’s correspondent to Brussels reported an EU official as saying.

The official made it clear that the EU does not pursue any benefit from conflicts.

“We support the efforts to resolve conflicts by all possible means. We think there is no military solution to them. We believe security is a key factor in cooperation. For example, the EU had no general security police when the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict began. This conflict started earlier. We hope this issue will be resolved. We think countries that affected by conflicts should benefit from EU countries’ experience in this area,” he said.
