"Azerbaijan takes the Bandung Principles as its basic principles," President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said addressing Baku conference of the Parliamentary Network of Non-Aligned Movement, APA reports.
The head of state noted that Azerbaijan actively participates in all initiatives of the Non-Aligned Movement: "We completely share the Bandung Principles and consider these principles as the only basis for cooperation and interaction between countries. Territorial integrity, sovereignty, independence, non-interference in each other's internal affairs - if these principles were protected by all countries, there would be no wars, conflicts, and injustices. From the first days of our activity, we have been actively involved in all initiatives of the Non-Aligned Movement. I think this was the main reason for the unanimous support for Azerbaijan's candidacy for the chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement."
