President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has addressed participants of the Youth Summit of Non-Aligned Movement, APA reports.
"I sincerely greet you in Baku and deliver my best wishes. This Summit is of great importance in terms of strengthening relations between young people, sharing progressive thinking, and strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation.
The young generation, which is the leading force of social development and prosperity of every country, is also the locomotive of global progress. In the modern world full of challenges, the dialogue among active and creative young people plays an important role in discussing the problems that humanity faces, and sharing ideas and views regarding their solutions. Attention and care to youth which makes up 23% of the population in Azerbaijan, educating them in the spirit of national and moral values and patriotism are one of the directions of the state policy. Today, a generation, that preserves our national-moral values, and traditions in Azerbaijan, as well as, is capable of integrating in a globalizing world by absorbing universal, progressive ideas, has grown up. Our youth who grew up in the spirit of respect for these national values have shown invaluable services in the liberation of our lands which were under occupation for 30 years and the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. We are proud of such young people," reads the address of the Azerbaijani President.
