Azerbaijani President approves memorandum on "Caucasian Eagle" training

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has approved the law "On approval of the Memorandum of Understanding “On the "Caucasian Eagle" Special Forces training among the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Government of the Republic of Turkey, and the Government of Georgia", APA reports.

In accordance with the law, a Memorandum of Understanding “On the "Caucasian Eagle" Special Forces training among the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Government of the Republic of Turkey, and the Government of Georgia" signed on October 10, 2019, in Baku has been approved.

In accordance with the law, the sides should give information to the depositary in written form about the completion of internal legal procedures for the entry into force of the Memorandum of Understanding. This Memorandum of Understanding comes into force on the date of receipt of the last written notification that the parties inform each other about the completion of the internal legal procedures necessary for its entry into force through diplomatic channels. The Memorandum of Understanding remains in force for a year and if one of the parties does not give written notice to another 30 days before the expiration of the Memorandum of Understanding through the diplomatic channels with the intention to terminate it, it is automatically extended for the next 1 year. This Memorandum of Understanding is terminated 30 days after the date of receipt of the notification.
