"We have also discussed the energy security issue in the region with Secretary-General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg", said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the press conference today after the meeting with Secretary-General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg, APA reports.
Head of state noted that today Azerbaijan is a gas supplier to 4 NATO member countries.
"I am sure that in the next years, number of these countries will increase. This is important for stability and security in the region. As you know, energy security is already a part of the national security of the countries. Generally, we are grateful for having such high-level relations with NATO. We are very grateful that NATO also highly evaluates our efforts. Today, we have agreed to continue our joint efforts for benefit of the region and security in the world", said Azerbaijani President.
