We have been exporting natural gas to Europe for a little more than two years and the volume of exports is increasing by the year, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in a joint press conference with Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz in Berlin, APA reports.
“After the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war, we received orders and offers from at least 10 European countries to supply gas to them or to increase the volume of gas exports to those we are already supplying gas to. According to the Memorandum of Understanding signed with the European Union last year, we plan to deliver 20 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Europe by 2027,” the head of state said.
