Armenia not to compete with Azerbaijan at CIS games

Armenian athletes will not attend CIS countries’ games, it was announced at the meeting of the participants on the preparation and holding of the I CIS Games by the leading state bodies on physical culture and sports, Apasport.az reports.

Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia Artur Martirosyan explained the reason not attending the game in connection with pandemic: “Unfortunately, due to the situation occurred, our country will not be able to participate in CIS countries’ games.

Note that the first games which are expected to be attended by Azerbaijani athletes as well, will be held in Kazan city of Russia, on September 4-11.
