Japanese PM, IOC chief agree to postpone 2020 Olympics over coronavirus threat

Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Thomas Bach, the president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), have decided to postpone the 2020 Olympic Games, initially scheduled to be held in Tokyo this summer, before the summer of 2021 in view of the ongoing global spread of the novel coronavirus, APA reports citing TASS.
