As the opening day of the Baku-2019 Summer European Youth Olympics Festival approach, the scope of preparation works related to the event is being enlarged, APA TV reports.
Elchin Safarov, corporative director of Operation Committee of the Summer European Youth Olympics Festival, states that everything, related to the preparations, is carried out on the plan.
We prefer simpler and smaller stadiums in comparison with the I European Games and IV Islamic Solidarity Games, held in our country. Thus, four new sports halls have been opened for the use of athletes. Cosmetic repair works have been concluded in Baku Crystal Hall, where the opening ceremony will be held, and all other sports complexes, which will host sports games. Latest completion measures are being carried out in Athletes Village: “All condition necessary for the maintenance of 3830 guests, has been provided. 2900 of them are athletes. The sportsmen are 14-18-year-old Athletes. There are minimal terms related to living in Athletes Village, that we should follow them. We will give 7 buildings for the use of athletes. There is a canteen, which provides 1500 sportsmen with hot meals for 24 hours, a medical aid point, and amusement zones, where the sportsmen can spend their leisure time."
