The program of the Summer European Youth Olympic Festival, which will be held in 2021, has been revealed, APA reports.

Sportsmen will compete on 10 branhes of sport in the prestigious contest, hosting by Banská Bystrica, Slovakia.

The composition of the program, lasting from July 24 to August 1, has been a little changed in comparison with Baku-2019. Thus, 9 kinds of the 10 sport branches of the Baku-2019, which ended 2 days ago, will also be included into program of Slovakia. These branches are artistic gymnastics, athletics, basketball, handball, judo, swimming, tennis, cycling, and volleyball.

Wrestling, in which Azerbaijani sportsmen won 16 medals and 8 of them were golden, has been removed from program. The tenth sport branch will be triathlon.

It is related to desire of hosstess country. The main issue is that 9 kinds of 10 sport branches are  untouchable parts of the program. The organizer country is eligible to determine the last-tenth branch. While in Baku-2019 the last branch was wrestling, in 2021 it will be triathlon.
