Karen Khachanov, a Russian athlete of Armenian origin, drew attention with his hateful behavior in the "Grand Slam" series tournament.
After the victory, he wrote "Artsakh stay strong" on the camera.
Taking into account the unacceptability of this provocation, Azerbaijan's Tennis Federation has sent a protest letter to International Tennis Federation.
The letter presents facts and legal documents regarding the provocation against our country: "As Azerbaijan's Tennis Federation we condemn this incident, in order to prevent such a situation from happening again, the tennis player should be punished, and stricter measures should be taken from the said institution to avoid such incidents in the future. We hope that the issue will be resolved objectively soon."
