"Baku is ready to host the World Cup," said the Secretary-General of the Azerbaijan Shooting Federation Emin Jafarov, APA reports.
The Secretary-General noted that although planned international competitions in this sport type did not take place in our country due to the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, domestic competitions and preparations of our teams were held at the Baku Shooting Center.
Besides, by the decision of the Executive Committee of the International Sport Shooting Federation (ISSF), athletes will compete in fifteen Olympic types of shooting and stand shooting at the World Cup to be held in Baku from May 27 to June 7. Baku Shooting Center will welcome about 700 athletes from more than 70 countries in this prestigious competition. Well-known shooters, world and European champions, and winners of the Olympic Games will compete for the title in Azerbaijan.
