If tourism do not resume, Georgia’s economic growth will made up 1% in 2021, said Koba Gvenetadze, the Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of Georgia, APA’s local bureau reports.
According to him, if the epidemiological situation gets better, in the second part of the current year, economic growth may increase by 4% with the resume of tourism sector.
Koba Gvenetadze said that according to the initial calculations, Georgia’s economy is expected to decrease by 6,1% in 2020 due to pandemic .
