“Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan were free, democratic and transparent,” Director General of the Islamabad Center for Global and Strategic Studies Khalid Teymur Akram said, APA reports.

Noting that Pakistan is the first country to recognize Azerbaijan's independence, Khalid Teymur Akram said relations between the two countries have improved over the past years: "We did not witness any violations of the law or illegal acts. This is a step towards a successful future for Azerbaijan and it will have a positive impact on our relations."
