Azerbaijani Health Minister Ogtay Shiraliyev has received an assessment mission by WHO European Regional Office within the framework of response and discussion activities against COVID-19 in Azerbaijan, the Ministry told APA.
The object of the mission is to assess the current situation in the country and to issue relevant recommendations.
The current situation of Azerbaijan and measures taken against COVID-19 infection were discussed at the meeting held with mutual understanding.
Along with Baku, the mission plans to hold the assessment of the epidemiological situation of Shamakhi and Ganja cities.
The health minister suggested the participation of specialists of the Republic Hygiene and Epidemiology Center.
As well as, current sanitary-epidemiological the situation, control over the infection within hospitals, the mechanism of disease progression, chronic course, and other issues were discussed at the meeting.
