"We are proud that Shusha is turning into a Turkish and Islamic center. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan jointly signed the Shusha Declaration. By accepting our joint statement in Shusha, one of the ancient centers of the Turkic-Islamic civilization, we showed our common historical and cultural unity. It will ensure that our common union is a mature institution on world platforms," said the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazadeh, during the meeting of religious leaders of the Organization of Turkic States in Shusha, APA reports.
He added that today's Shusha meeting coincides with the same day as the opening of Zangilan airport.
"It is regrettable that the leadership of the Armenian church visited Khankendi and made revanchist statements. Instead of giving the promised happiness to the Armenian people, they bring disaster. From here, from liberated Shusha, I call on the Armenian church. Stop revanchism and provocative ideas. I am not calling for death, but for life."
