"Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in his interview that Islamophobia has become the ideology of Armenia for a long time, and Armenia received support from some countries for its promotion," said Matz Mohi Abdulhamid, the director of the Iraq Centre for Research and Strategic Studies (ICRSS) at the panel on "Armenia's dilemma of creating hatred against Azerbaijan and Islam" within the framework of the conference on Islamophobia in Baku, APA reports.
He noted that he saw with his own eyes how mosques were destroyed in Karabakh: "The Armenian side falsely claims that churches were destroyed in Karabakh by the Azerbaijani servicemen, but they denied that the mosques were destroyed. I saw destroyed and insulted mosques in Karabakh with my own eyes."
