145 people readmitted from foreign countries last year, SMS Chief says

“There were 480 inquiries regarding readmission in 2019, while there is a 1,3 percent decrease in this figure in 2020,”said Chief of the State Migration Service Vusal Huseynov at an online press conference held on finals of 2020, APA reports.

According to him, the number of inquiries in this regard was 474 last year: “The number of readmitted people was 457 in 2019, it was 145 last year, in general, there is a 68 percent decrease. In connection with pandemic, people coming with readmission last year cover only January-February, they were brought to the country through charter flight.

The chief of the service noted that there were 4647 inquiries regarding readmission to State migration Service so far: “The request of 1914 people has been answered positively, however, their return has not been carried out yet, it is planned.”
