The glorious victory of our soldiers in the 44-day Patriotic War to ensure the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, fighting bravely against the Armenian aggression and terror, is one of the most honoruable and glorious pages in the history of our independence. However, the consequences of the war shows its negative impact on our veterans, as well as on the families of martyrs who lost their relatives, and people who have suffered physical and moral damage from terrorist acts: posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, communication problems, insomnia, suicidal ideation, aggression and cause other similar conditions, press service of Ministiry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan told APA.
“Protecting the physical and mental health of our citizens is one of the most actual issues of our national security. For this purpose, the Ministry of Emergency Situations continues to provide emergency psychological assistance to our citizens through the "112" hotline. Our citizens, who have psychological problems as a result of consequences the war, can call the hotline and apply to psychologists working continuously.
In addition, 20 specialist psychologists from the Republic of Turkey were invited to organize effective rehabilitation of those people who need professional psychological assistance. Additional information on the activities of Turkish specialists will be provided to the public in the upcoming future,” the Ministry said.
