“Medical staff with extensive experience from other countries has been brought to Azerbaijan. These doctors are from Turkey, Russia, China, Italy, and Cuba. The staff consists of 215 medics work together with Azerbaijani doctors,” said Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov at meeting in a video format chaired by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, on measures taken to combat the coronavirus pandemic and socio-economic situation in the country, APA reports.
PM noted that as a result of preventive measures and after applying the special quarantine regime, the population in the risky zones started to be more attentive: “This shows itself both in isolation and on the usage of face masks and following other epidemiological measures. As a result of this, after the work is done to curb and reduce the disease, Task Force started some mitigation process from August 5. As well as, I should report that the previous 16 cities and three districts in terms of Lankaran, Samukh, and Siyazan have been excluded from this zone. The situation in those regions is normal.”
