41 emergency medical aid vehicles and Perinatal Ambulances brought in Azerbaijan

For the purpose of countrywide implementation of the mandatory medical insurance, a total of 41 units vehicles including 39 units of new emergency medical aid vehicles equipped with up-to-date devices and 2 units of Perinatal Ambulances have been brought into country by the State Agency for Mandatory Medical Insurance, the agency told APA.

The Perinatal Ambulances will implement the delivery of the babies with pathologic abnormalities newly born in ordinary health institutions to the relevant perinatal centers for receiving of medical services which can’t be rendered in those health institutions. These vehicles are equipped with all necessary medical devices and cuvet facility for provision of first, emergency and pressing medical aid to newly born babies.

Note that the new Perinatal Ambulances meeting the up-to-date standards brought in the country are a nationwide innovation.

The level of equipping with devices of the saloons of 39 units of emergency medical aid vehicles allows for rendering of all necessary first, emergency and pressing medical aid to patients and execution of resuscitation measures. These vehicles have a number of specific peculiarities. Thus, the ambulance vehicles are equipped with cardio-monitor, 3 types of stretchers, vacuum splints, climate-control device for regulation of temperature in saloon, the lighting system (take me home) and other features.
