432,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to be brought to Azerbaijan

Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov has signed an Order in relevance with the Decree “On implementation of Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On medicines”” in order to prevent danger, can be caused by coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan and conduction of immunization measures in this field, APA reports.

According to the Order, import of 432,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine belonging to AstraZeneca Company of the Kingdom Sweden, to Azerbaijan should be carried out within 180 (a hundred and eighty) days in relevance with the agreement between State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance and GAVI ALLIANCE on supply of medicines dated September 18, 2020.

Ministry of Health and State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance should provide solution of issues, arising from the Order.

The Order comes into force from the day of signing.
